Hello Classmates!

I am a 21 year old graduate student studying Early Childhood education. I started school as a Premed student and later changed my mind (you shouldn't be a doctor if you don't like the human body!). So here I am! I presently work at the Strong National Museum of Play. My job there consists of creating/managing all of the crafts throughout the museum, including inventory and preparation as well as training. I also am third in command for Birthday Parties. With this part of the job, I make and receive phone calls to/from parents regarding birthday parties, inventory, train new hosts, make orders and work closely with the managers and Presidents of the Museum. At the moment, my pet project is creating a Berenstain Bear's Birthday party to coincide with our Berenstain Exhibit opening in April! (Any suggestions give me a shout out!)

I am also planning at wedding at the moment so there may be times where I seem completely stressed out, just beware! The wedding is in July and coming up on me quickly so I get nervous here and there.

After I graduate from this program, we plan to move to North Carolina (where my Fiance can get work in Theatre's more easily and cost of living is much lower). There I plan to teach and eventually I hope to work most closely with Children with Autism. I feel that if we can find a way to education children with autism, we may someday be able to "get rid" of autism, at least on the educational end of the disease.

That is about it for me. I'm pretty open minded and willing to talk to just about anyone. I look forward to this class and getting to know everyone!

Goodbye for now!

Cindi, So sorry about your rough week this week. We missed you in class. I am so curious about the Berenstein Bears birthday party!! I would love to brainstorm, as the BB are my kid's favorite!!!

Thank you for the sympathies and to be honest, I wish I was in class. Let me know what I need to do to make it all up. As for the BB party, any ideas are welcome! :) I will be back next week, might not be in my right mind, but I'll be there. We still need to set up that meeting so let me know when that works best.

Cindi-thanks for your encouraging thoughts about wedding planning! I really have not planned that much yet! We have only picked the place! Try not to get too stressed out, and Good Luck! :)

Hi Cindi,
How are the wedding plans coming? I give you credit for doing the cooking yourself. July is an awesome month for a wedding... I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Thank you to everyone! :) As for the cooking, I'm still trying to win that battle! My parents and Ben's parents have teamed up and decided I'm not allowed to do so... I'm still trying though!
